Horizon

Much of the market operates under duration constraints: capital that must be deployed on schedule, returned on schedule, or defended quarter by quarter. We focus on assets and situations that such investors cannot hold, where an owner is compelled to transact or a durable business is undervalued because its path is uncertain. Our horizon is measured in generations, and we underwrite accordingly.

Relative Skill

Investment skill is abundant, and in most fields it is fully reflected in prices. We therefore concentrate in fields where relative skill still dominates the investment result. These are markets too small, too complex, or too far from the mainstream to be priced efficiently by larger institutions.

Investment Discipline

• We do not solve for speed or quick exits.
• We do not compete where scale determines the outcome.
• We do not rely on macroeconomic forecasts or positions that depend on a single regime.
